Tires surround a wheel's rim to transfer the equipment's load from the axle and provide traction on the surface. Tires can be found on larger outdoor power equipment, and on equipment designed to go over rough and slippery terrain. Many tires on lawn equipment are semi-pneumatic, light weight, and puncture proof. Tires on lawn equipment are usually easily replaced, by removing the wheel from the axle, deflating the tire, and removing the tire from the wheel.
