The Saw Guide Bar, is one of the most common replacement parts on a chain saw or pole saw as its location causes it to be exposed to heat, dirt, dust, oil, sap, and other abrasives which cause it to wear down or wear out with extended use. When selecting a new guide bar, make sure you consider which is the right type for the jobs you plan to undertake, such as a solid bar (strong), laminated bar (flexible), replacement sprocket nose bar (smooth), or hard nose bar (good for boring).
