Snow Paddles refer specifically to the paddles within snow augers, and are the primary mechanism with which snow is pulled into the auger. Snow paddles can wear over use as they rotate and contact the ground and debris. Many snow paddles will have an indicator at the point where they should be replaced after enough use. Often snow paddles are replaced along with the scraper blade. Replacing a snow paddle is a common repair task that will improve the performance of your snow thrower.
